Introduction to Organizational Communication
This course introduces students to the theory of organizational communication. The primary focus is on helping students understand the nature and functions of organizations, the tensions between organizational leaders and employees, the purpose of management, and, most importantly, the ways that communication structures and shapes organizations and our experiences of them.

Principles of Leadership
Principles of Leadership merges theory and practice in student’s exploration of leadership. This course is primarily practice-based, where students engage in a variety of activities related to integrity, listening, making requests, and conflict management. This class also addresses the theory of leadership by introducing students to a more communicative, relationally grounded approach to leadership and influence.

Quantitative Inquiry
Quantitative inquiry is a quantitative methods and research design class and a core course in our major curriculum. This class introduces students to basic social science research design as well as basic statistical concepts and tests.
